Footwear Care Guide

A little regular care goes a long way. Start with the instructions for your particular pair.

After the everyday.

Let shoes air out after wearing. Remove loose dirt with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Open fastenings and remove insoles if the product’s care instructions allow it.

Mesh and knit uppers.

For small marks, begin with a lightly damp cloth. Avoid aggressive scrubbing and test any cleaning product on a discreet area. Machine washing is only appropriate when the manufacturer’s instructions explicitly allow it.

Leather and synthetic uppers.

These materials require different treatments. Use a cleaner suited to the listed material, following its instructions. Do not use leather conditioner on a synthetic upper without checking compatibility.

After water or beach use.

When the product’s care instructions permit it, rinse away sand or salt with fresh water, then let the shoes dry fully. Check soles and seams for trapped debris.

Dry gently.

Air-dry in a ventilated place away from direct heat. Avoid radiators, tumble dryers and prolonged intense sun, which can affect materials and adhesives.

Store for the next outing.

Store footwear clean and dry. If you are unsure about a material or cleaning method, ask us before applying a treatment.
